Sex CellsAnimal Sex cells are cells that allow you to reproduce. The male sex cells are so much different to the female sex cells. The male sex cell is sperm. Is enters the egg and gives the baby half of it's chromosomes. The egg however is the female sex cell otherwise known as the ovum.
Plant Sex cells allow some plants to reproduce sexually, they consist of the male sex cell is the pollen that the Bees take and spread out into the flowers Pistil or Carpel (Basically, the top of the flower which is all pretty.)Each carpel has an ovary. Ovules are the female reproductive cells. they are the eggs.
DevelopmentDevelopment is when you not only grow, but develop things as well, Like not only your lungs getting bigger but growing more Bronchus's.
An example of internal development would be a human baby developing a heart. External development would be when your body starts to change again like, puberty. |
FertilisationFertilisation is when a sperm meets up with the egg (Ovum), busts through it then gets it's 23 chromosomes of the fathers to the 23 chromosomes of the mothers inside the egg.
Hermaphrodites
A hermaphrodite is someone or something that has both male and female sex organs, Either naturally or not.
Two examples are a man with boobs or a plant with an ovary and with anthers. |
